BE Aerospace Engineering from Madras Institute of Technology, India: 2005 - 2009
Hello, I'm from Tamil Nadu, India. I started my PhD program at Iowa State in Jan 2012. It's been a pleasure being at Iowa State and working with Dr. Durbin. My current research work focuses on hybrid RANS/LES turbulence models, specifically the Detached Eddy Simulation (DES) type of models. I also have a working knowledge of Combustion (premixed and diffusion flames, reaction mechanisms, detonation/deflagration) and High temperature Gas Dynamics (Statistical Mechanics and associated thermodynamic properties, equilibrium and non-equilibrium flows) from my time at Georgia Tech.
Whenever I have time, I enjoy playing badminton and cycling.
